Please be advised that Mayor William D. Franklin, Director of Public Safety & Service, Eddie Colbert, and a group of Warren City Community leaders will hold a Press Conference today, May 20, 2022, to discuss the city’s initial response to the recent crime within Warren.
The conference will take place at 4:00 PM at the Warren City Council Chambers, 141 South Street SE, Warren, Ohio.

MAYOR FRANKLIN, CITY OF WARREN EXTEND AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN PROJECT PROPOSAL FORM DEADLINE
The City of Warren and Mayor Franklin have extended the deadline for organizations to submit funding proposals to the City’s Project Proposal Form. The updated deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, June 3rd by 5:00pm.
Approved by Congress in early 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) allocated $28 million of State and Local Fiscal Recovery to the City of Warren.
Organizations must use the project proposal form found at: “Warren ARP: Project Proposal Form (Linked Here)”.
Applicants are encouraged to look at Warren’s full ARP funding priorities sheet.
ARP funding will be targeted to projects that address community priorities determined through community surveys and input sessions, align with community planning initiatives, and address disparities highlighted during the COVID pandemic.
Mayor Doug Franklin said, “We are excited to work with community partners to mitigate the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that Warren leverages our funds appropriately to emerge stronger and more sustainable.”

The Splash Pad in Packard Park will be opening Friday, May 27th at 11 am. Daily hours will be from 11 am to 7 pm and it will close on Tuesday, September 6th.

Please be advised that the City of Warren will be conducting a public meeting to review a draft of the Warren Comprehensive Plan prepared by Trumbull County.
The meeting will take place Tuesday, May 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the Warren City Council Chambers

If you’re an adult living in Mahoning or Trumbull County, we are asking you to vote on the most important issues to focus on to improve the health of your community. This will guide the public health districts, hospitals, and other community groups in their work for the next three years.
Before you vote, you can review what the Community Health Assessment team found out in surveys, community conversations, and data trends related to each priority you could choose. Partners from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) have assisted the Community Health Assessment team with this process.

NOPEC, a nonprofit energy supplier, is warning local residents of a door- to-door solicitors posing as NOPEC employees in several northeast Ohio Communities.
The agency does not go door-to-door or call residents or small business to enroll them into the organization’s natural gas or electric aggregation programs. If your community is a member of NOPEC and you are eligible to join the aggregation, you will be notified by mail.
If someone knocks on your door posing as a NOPEC employee during normal business hours, ask for a business card or capture as much information as you can (company name, solicitor’s name, a phone number, copy of any paperwork/brochures they offer you, make, color and license plate number of car etc.) and file a report. You can also call the Ohio Public Utilities Commission’s call center at 800-686-7826 to report suspicious activity. After normal business hours call NOPEC’s customer care center at 855-667-3201 to report the encounter.
If you are a resident of the city and experience any flooding in your basement due to the recent rain/ snow melt, please call our Water Pollution Control department mainline at (330) 841-2591 to report it.
The information you provide during the call is recorded and maintained in a database which allows us to prioritize both immediate responses as well as plan for long term solutions.
Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP) can assist eligible Trumbull County households that – because of COVID-19 – are behind on rent; facing eviction; behind on house payments; facing foreclosure; and behind on water and/or sewer bills. For households that qualify, TCAP will make payments directly to the landlord, bank, business, or water company.
