Support during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

On March 9, 2020, Governor DeWine announced a state of emergency in Ohio in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

As a result of the guidance issued by the Governor and the Ohio Department of Public Health, the Mahoning Valley has experienced temporary shifts to minimize the risk of virus transmission.

Mercy Health has suspended on-call rape crisis services to the hospital until further notice. Survivors presenting at the hospital will have the opportunity to connect with an advocate over the phone. They will also be offered resource information for follow-up services upon discharge.

Anyone affected by sexual assault, whether it happened to you or someone you care about, can find support by calling 211 and will be connected with the Rape Crisis Team of Trumbull County.

For anyone experiencing domestic violence, our highly-trained advocates at Someplace Safe are available 24/7/365 to talk confidentially with anyone experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship. The shelter remains open at this time.

This is a fast-moving and changing situation, and we will continue to follow COVID-19 guidance from the Ohio Department of Public Health.
