Bureau for Children With Medical Handicaps

BCMH (Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps) is a program of the Ohio Department of Health, which serves children with special health care needs and their families. This program is available to children under the age of 21 who have a chronic, treatable medical condition, and are under the care of a BCMH-approved physician. Public Health nurses act as a liaison for these families, linking them to various services in the community and assisting them with problem solving. For further information, please contact the Public Health Clinic and ask for the BCMH nurse.
