Application Process for City Events
The City of Warren hosts a variety of special events throughout the year. The purpose of Event Permits is to enable the City to manage events while providing services in an uninterrupted manner. By establishing guidelines, the City Administration is able to determine the feasibility of an event based on City service demands. Events must be conducted within the requirements set forth in the Codified Ordinances of the City of Warren, and the Event Organizers must be prepared to meet certain municipal criteria and associated costs.
Permits will be issued by the office of the Director of Public Service and Safety for the use of the Warren Community Amphitheatre, Courthouse Square, Women’s Park & Kinsman House Upper Ground area to a charity which is recognized under the IRS code section 501© (3), or other organizations, or individuals for community events upon receipt of this properly executed application by the event organizers. The City of Warren Operations Department handles rentals of Packard and Perkins Park shelters and pavilions.
It is recommended that the applicant contact the appropriate office prior to commencing the execution of this application, as information and maps can be made available to assist the applicant in the expedient completion of these forms. The application must be submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to the start of an event.
A finalization meeting with the City and the Event Organizers will be held no less than (10) working days prior to the start of any event. At this meeting, the completed application will be presented to the City Event Planners & Department Heads with all pertinent enclosures and fees for review and signature by the appropriate city representatives and event organizers. All outstanding issues or questions will be resolved at this meeting.
