Local Students Honored at City Hall

January 1, 2013

In celebration of Red Ribbon Week, October 24 through October 31, Mayor Franklin congratulated Warren G. Harding High School students and presented them with a proclamation for their efforts to encourage positive choices and inspire their peers to live a drug-free lifestyle. Harding Principal Dante Capers, Police Sergeant Jeff Orth, and Afterschool Alliance Program Director Addonnus Harden joined the Mayor in showing their support. Mayor Franklin encourages everyone to participate by wearing and displaying a red ribbon during this week-long campaign. Ribbons and red lighting will decorate City Hall to honor Red Ribbon Celebration Week.

Students from Mrs. Richardson's Fourth Grade Class at Lincoln PK-8 also got to take a picture with Mayor Franklin during their recent tour of City Hall. School tours will continue for the next few weeks.
