TCAP Offers Summer Crisis Program

The Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP) is offering emergency air conditioning and fan assistance to eligible households through the Summer Crisis Program until August 31. To be eligible for assistance, households must meet income eligibility requirements and contain a member aged 60 or older or a member who has a documented medical condition that requires air conditioning. Lincoln PK-8 Girls Participate in 2017 Energy Bike Project

June 26, 2017
Girls from Lincoln PK-8, along with students from three other Northeast Ohio schools, participated in the NOPEC Energy Bike Project: Activating and Energizing Girls in Science (AEGIS). The students spent three days building an energy bike to take back to their schools.
 
During the event, the students learned the mechanics of the energy bike, then applied their knowledge by assembling and wiring the bikes.

Summer Youth Jobs Program

March 20, 2017
The Trumbull County Department of Job and Family Services, OhioMeansJobs Trumbull County, and the Trumbull County Board of Commissioners have announced the 2017 Summer Youth Program. This program serves economically disadvantaged Trumbull County youth between the ages of 15 and 24 and will run from June 12 to August 4, 2017. Youth selected for participation will be paid $8.50 per hour and will work 30 hours per week.

JAC Management Group recently issued a summary of Packard Music Hall operations from September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016. During that period Packard Music Hall hosted 159 events, drawing over 39,000 attendees and resulting in five sellout concerts. The summary letter also outlines plans for facility improvements.

Lordstown Energy Center Construction Progress

December 7, 2016
The City of Warren is slated to supply water to the Lordstown Energy Center, a high efficiency electric power plant that broke ground in June. The construction crew building the facility recently allowed WKBN a behind-the-scenes look at the site, offering further insight into the project's progress for residents eagerly awaiting updates.
